As a musician blessed to travel to many places around the world, meeting countless people and understanding their hearts-their longing to return to their native land, and their helplessness in staying far away from their dearest ones-I somehow imagined myself in their shoes. It felt terrible, and a fear began to grow within me, leading to the creation of this song.
I dedicate “Palaayanam” to all those who have migrated from their homeland to another part of the globe either to build a better life or because they were forced to.

…it hurts.”
I wish everyone a speedy return to where their hearts truly belong. Maybe, just maybe, in the blink of an eye, you’ll be back-you never know!
